Tomorrow I’ll be back on the road in my own car (named Lillie, after Mama). It was really more than I can afford, but I’ll make it work somehow (and hey, if you need a house/cat-sitter, I’m available; gotta pay for the ride, ya know). In honor of Lillie, two versions of a car song I love.
Brenda rocks as a house/cat sitter!!
Now I know what we need to watch next time we hang out! Cars!!

Are you On The Road Again with my good friend Bill Nelson from Austin, Texas?

There are a lot of people who would not understand that joke.

I’m just a little irritated that that song didn’t occur to me. 🧐

Brenda I was not trying to irritate you by mentioning “On The Road Again” but this is what happens when you make the mistake of letting a musician join your blog and comment on it.

No worries, Laurence! 😀

In the past, musicians were considered to be lower class people who were required to sit “Below The Salt”.

Cars do seem to have personalities. Your post kicked off a memory of my first car. Dad bought me a 1938 Plymouth two-door which I called Bessemer. It had a one-piece windshield (flat), three-on-the-floor shift and a six-cylinder straight-block engine. Not jazzy, but to a young man it was freedom.

Love that! If I had money, I would collect cars like that!

I am tempted to jokingly ask Brenda if her services as a cat sitter/house sitter are offered “On The House”?
