Tomorrow night the ghouls will be out begging for candy. This year I’m actually in a neighborhood where there might be trick-or-treaters, so I might actually see a few. I still plan on cuddling up with Charlie and watching a movie or two (but don’t worry, Sarah, I won’t be putting a costume on him; I value my life), but it will be a welcome change to see a few kids. And if a few puppers and kitters show up in costume …
I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.
Having Halloween precede the election seems unusually ominous this year. I always worry that the wrong people (in my judgment) will be elected, but this year brings an added concern about what those people may do if they are not elected.

I think that’s how a lot of us are feeling now. We didn’t think they would actually act … till Jan. 6. Fingers crossed that it will be a non-scary election.
The squirrel is my favorite, although the cocktail wins the costume prize. Once or twice I’ve put a Christmas bow on a dog. Would never attempt it with a cat.

I could occasionally get a jester’s collar on Luke, and maybe a quick antler or Santa hat for a picture, but he wasn’t a fan. I might be able to do that with Charlie, but I’m not taking a chance on him hating me. 😂
